However, over time, the joints become empty, the surface loses its levelness and the surface gets uneven.<br\/>In addition, retained moisture accelerates the degradation of materials, creating a complex problem for most conventional waterproofing systems.<br\/><br\/>Recently, <strong>Eagle Waterproofing<\/strong> participated in the refurbishment of a terrace that presented exactly this scenario: a heavily damaged coating, open joints and detached tile areas caused by accumulated moisture.<\/p>\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img fetchpriority=\"high\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"612\" height=\"405\" src=\"https:\/\/www.eagle-waterproofing.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/10\/rehabilitacion-de-cubiertas-transitables.webp\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-8928\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.eagle-waterproofing.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/10\/rehabilitacion-de-cubiertas-transitables.webp 612w, class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>UltraPrime REG: to level, consolidate and prepare<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n<p>As a first step, the old coating was removed and the surface thoroughly cleaned.<br\/>Once the substrate was ready, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.eagle-waterproofing.com\/en\/subproducto\/ultraprime-reg\/\" target=\"_blank\">UltraPrime REG<\/a> \u2014a self-levelling epoxy resin specially designed for extreme conditions\u2014 was applied.<br\/>Application was carried out with a roller around the perimeter in a thin layer to seal porosity, and with a rubber squeegee on the flat areas in a thicker layer to fill joints and level the substrate.<br\/><br\/><br\/><strong>The main advantages of UltraPrime REG are:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Levels and consolidates deteriorated substrates.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Fills empty joints without adding moisture, drastically reducing waiting times.<br\/><br\/><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Allows the waterproofing membrane to be applied after only 3 hours.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li> Acts as a vapour barrier.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Allows the addition of mineral fillers to optimise consumption in projects requiring significant regularisation, making the product more competitive and adaptable to each site.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Ultraflex: reinforced and continuous waterproofing<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n<p>Once the substrate was prepared, the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.eagle-waterproofing.com\/en\/product\/ultraflex-en-liquid-waterproofing-system\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Ultraflex<\/a> wet-on-wet system was applied \u2014 a fully reinforced liquid membrane ensuring a constant thickness across the entire surface.<br\/><br\/>This technology provides a homogeneous coating that adapts perfectly to the irregularities typical of ceramic tile surfaces, offering a high-performance waterproofing protection.<br\/><br\/>As a final finish, Ultratop WR was applied \u2014 a coating resistant to heavy traffic and standing water, ideal for walkable roofs.<br\/><br\/>The complete system \u2014 UltraPrime REG + Ultraflex + Ultratop WR \u2014 offers warranties of up to 25 years, ensuring long-lasting and efficient protection.<br\/><br\/>Thanks to this intervention, the roof was restored without the need to replace the original tiles, reducing time, cost and environmental impact.<br\/><br\/>The
